Clarke, Joe and I spent a Monday canoeing down the Brisbane River and exploring the tunnels underneath Kangaroo Point. The tunnels were a completely unexpected discovery as we were canoeing back towards South Bank. We spotted a large tunnel running underneath the Kangaroo Point cliffs and initially we weren't game to go all the way in. However, we then googled the tunnel and found posts from other people who had walked these old storm drains and decided to give it a go. The water became more shallow as we went further into the tunnel and we had to leave the canoe and continue on foot. There were a lot of bats and we spotted a water snake.
