Hong Kong - Old Town Central

DAY 1:

We walked around old town central area in the morning, looking at the shops full of luck charms, jewellery, stones and gems and other old relics. Sipping on iced tea, we took in the distinct architecture, popped into cute eclectic shops and cafes and visited an old chinese temple. For lunch we dined on delicious Japanese food before heading home in preparation for our chinese wedding banquet.

We started the morning with a traditional HK style breakfast from the cafe near our hotel.

We walked through a traditional fish/meat market.

Not big on the safety there...

Some eclectic goods being sold at the markets.

A restaurant selling BBQ meats.

There were many of these newsagency carts on the side of the road.

Joe got a lucky 'year of the monkey' charm to put on our bag.

Chinese temple to worship ancestors - they had incense everywhere.

Cute little book store and other trendy shops in central.

We visited this building called PMQ which was originally a Police Headquarters that has now been renovated to house lots of stores for arts and crafts.
