Dubrovnik is the jewel and most visited place in Croatia and this place did not disappoint. Perched on a high cliff, overlooking the Adriatic Sea and fortified by its large city walls, this city transported you back to the medieval ages. As the setting for many Game of Thrones scenes, the town was full of ‘Game of Thrones’ tours. We enjoyed a whole day here, walking the forts, old town and the city walls and taking in the amazing scenery. We even found a beach on the far side of the town and Joe went in for a dip before we played cards sitting on the rocks.
