France - Dordogne Valley

We visited Rocamadour - a clifftop town famous for being a pilgrimage site. Their most visited landmark is the Chapelle Notre-Dame which houses the Black Madonna statue. The town is named after the famous goat's milk cheese which has a particularly strong, sharp flavour.

We drove to Rocamadour in the van!

Nearby, we also visited Chateau de Castelnaud which houses the museum for medieval weaponry. Behind the trebuchet display, we spotted a wild fox sun baking in the tall grass. We also visited the beautiful Le Jardins de Marqueyssac - an enormous garden park with a hedge maze and views overlooking the Dordogne region.

We managed to get a quick snap of the fox resting in the background. He didn't seem too phased by us!

We went to the restaurant O'Moulin and enjoyed the most amazing 3 course french meal to date! It was the perfect fusion of french flavours with a very modern take and beautifully presented.
