A short drive north of Prague towards the country’s border with Germany, we made a pit stop at the Bohemia Switzerland National park for a night. We stayed in the town of Hrensko in one of the carparks and early the next morning, set off on a trek to Pravcicka Bana. Pravcicka Brana is the largest naturally formed arch made out of sandstone in Europe, weathered over the years by the wind. Several scenes from the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe were filmed here and you can no longer climb on the arch due to fears of safety and corrosion.
These van pictures were taken when crossing over the Polish border into Czechia in the countryside.
SIDE NOTE: BRNO
On our way to Poland, we stopped by the Czech city of Brno for 2 nights and walked around the second largest city in the country. We enjoyed the lovely sunny weather and lounged around in the park and the main square. Other places we visited included Spillberk castle and fortress, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul on Petrov Hill.
